Overtaken

by Ruth Arriaga on September 25, 2010

Overtaken I become when I enter into your presence.

I lose sight of all things that had led me further from you.

And the only thing I see is rays of light. Oddly though,

my eyes are closed.

I become overtaken by the touch your mercy and love.

And I lose sight of all the hurt that put up walls that kept

me from You. Oddly, this whole time I thought it kept You

from me.

Overtaken I become at the sight of your glory, a glory that

makes me fall on my face in complete worship of You. Oddly

though, it felt as if i were floating.

Overtaken I become, that I am no longer myself, but instead

I am completely Yours.

Overtake us father, invades us and leave not one piece of who

we were. Leave only the sweet aroma of your fire within us,

leave only the sweet flavor of your love. Overtake us father,

so that we no longer follow ourselves, but we follow you. Overtake

us so when the spirit of fear attacks, You could fight it with courage,

love and mercy. Leave no trace amounts of us, and leave only the fullness of you.

Amen, Amen, Amen!!
